So far as I am aware, there is no application

from Portugal for a regular supply of Indian opium at

present before the Foreign Office. The last occasion

on which the subject was raised so far as our records

show,

was in the Autumn of 1926. (See No.13 on Gov.,C.F.

11204/26).

The terms of the telegram seem to indicate

that the Governor of Macao has told the Governor of Hong

ong that representations are now being made..
